What is the reasoning behind this? is it an HR strategy to optimize their recruitment funnel by filtering out those who applied for the wrong position? Is it positive signal for any kind of roles? #interview
So you can’t be a contractor (driver) and an employee at the same time.
Most places ask if you’ve worked there in some capacity. This option might be less obvious
We have specific development programs for people who were previously drivers to transition into corporate roles. If you don’t pass the standard interview, you may still be eligible for the development programs
It's also a bonus if you join corporate and understand our customers because you were/are one. Most of our employees are riders, but probably 1% drive. I found driving for Uber very eye opening, honestly they give us $200/month of similar credit for Uber, it really should also require us to do $200 in bookings (e.g. a few hours of work/month). We'd have a much better product
It's so that you can't increase your rate while driving for Uber/Doordash
idk
