I have noticed there are numerous posts of AirBnB everyday either trashing their website, software engineers, company evalution etc. while the points are true in some capacity, it applies to other companies as well but why does AirBnB receive so much hate from FAANG? TC - 200k
Every company gets their turn at getting trashed in blind.
True but usually blind is sympathetic towards company/people who are crushed for varied reasons.
Uber got a ton of shit in the past. Some people simply jelous
Because they think they are the best of the best in the world, two words for them F*
not sure what gives you that impression, I haven't heard anyone in the company downtalk the technical ability of other tech companies
Meh you're reading too much into it. It just happens people trash things a lot more when they're anonymous
because their diversity garbage. if u are one of the groups they openly discriminated u will understand
Do tell more!
imagine receving an official email saying the company need to boost diversity, but explicitly complaining they already have too many Asian males so they should target “other” minorities.
Yeah we don’t need to kick em around so much. I didn’t really get the elitist vibe from my connections who worked there.
Heh, I have!
To be perfectly honest, many of us are assholes who don’t live up to the values or image.
Lmao. Candid
As Candid as the AirBnB owners I stay Everytime !
Not sure what part of the company rob.blob works in, but I don’t experience elitism at all from coworkers
Lol, elitism? If you could see the internal chat, you’d see that we’re constantly living in an inferiority complex compared to other tech companies that are looked up to. Including rob.blob here
Curious if this is due to situation your company is in or always been the same during your time?
This has been the case for years. There’s a few extremely bitter, extremely immature eng that complain on blind and shit all over the company. They’re the exception though.
Since Uber went public last year, those same people started targeting Airbnb. It's not new

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Because relative to the complexity of their product they have the hardest interviews and (had?) the highest prestige
Knew they had the hardest interview and paid well but wasn’t aware they had chip on their shoulder !
Yeah this is why I'm critical of them at least. Literally a basic crud application but they pay 300k+ and ask hard questions. Doesn't really make sense lol
