TLDR Learn to live now, no one knows what may happen to you in the future. Don't have to be extremely conservative with money. Everyone is just focused more on growing their money and less interested in living in the present. Someone wants to buy a nice car. Every uncle on the app goes "buy a used Toyota and invest the rest in stock market" Someone wants to buy a home. Uncle's jump in with "just rent until the prices come down", "Look at the s&p returns vs home appreciation over last 20yrs" Why do you people not understand that not everyone is in it to maximize returns. Some people want to live life, drive nice cars, live in a good homes and make memories. What's the point of wasting your youth to save may be a few more million for the 60s and then die giving it all away to your children. TC: 500k

Ok. IIt driving expensive cars gives you the high, go for it.
Not really. Indians in India are living their life while Indians here are penny pinching.
Do what you want and let others do what they want. It’s not that difficult to understand that your approach to life can be different from someone else’s.
do the needful and post tc or gtfo
You must making intimation of TC or GTFO.
Agreed. Read the post about guy asking permission from blind to give an allowance of 10k/year to his wife ( and it was her earned money) People here never cease to amaze me with this one.
There are money minded people and then there are people on this app. We don't want just want money we need everything. WLB, WFH, leftist when it comes to getting supported by employers, rightist when it comes to money, AND then we want Prestige ;) For that matter, Blind is not alone.. it's just a filter of selfish scum, including myself.
Ok and? You are an uncle giving unsolicited advice to “live up your life”. Get lost
"Wasting your youth" If life satisfaction revolves around spending large amounts of money, time to reevaluate your life. Most people don't care about whether they drive a Ferrari or a Toyota to a destination. They care about who they meet at their destination and what they do.
The point is some folks are genuinely interested in driving good cars. And it's not to show off, it's for themselves. Doesn't have to be a Ferrari could just be a Alfa Romeo. It's ok to buy it if they can afford it.
I see so many people wanting to do certain things but end up not doing it to save money and keep ploughing all their money into stock market. I'm merely suggesting to balance a bit.
