I’m a rising senior in college. I recently accepted an offer with Microsoft for an internship this summer (I HAVE NOT posted about accepting an internship with msft on linkedin). I’ll be graduating spring 2024. I’ve been on linkedin for about a year and barely got any messages from recruiters for internships. These past few weeks ALOT of recruiters have been messaging me on LinkedIn out of no where. The same companies who rejected me for an internship this summer are inviting me to info sessions about their APM programs for new grads. I’m confused because why would they ignore and reject me when I was looking for PM internships but show interest in me for APM new grad opportunities with the same resume (as I said, I haven’t made an update about msft yet) Plus I thought most companies would be on a freeze or doing layoffs this year? You have the ‘scent’. Same reason why girls want you when you’re in a relationship.
Majority of recruiters especially at your level are just shotgunning.
They must need new kids to dump the shit load of administrative work due to the lay offs
Forward their contacts, I need an apm
What’s the APM role?
I think it's associate product manager
Could you share their information?
Budgets and hiring goals for the year are getting finalized. They must have requests for APM new grads.
