Companies like Samsung, Sony, Bytedance/Tiktok, Huawei, Xiaomi, Dji, Zoom, Alibaba, etc are all from east Asia, India, has so many tech people but no big tech company.
my man, have you heard of the name Mukhesh Ambani. he has put out some gigantic brands out there.
He said tech companies (unless you consider Jio to be a big name)
Jio is still telecom services not tech
also Indian established companies has lots of notoriety. for example, Byju is scamming the shit of the ppl through some random ass coding classes taught by unqualified educators. fuck me. I guess this is what the world has come to.
What about Infosys?
Infosys is not a tech company, it's a staffing company. Their entire business model is tricking other companies to pay them to provide fresh trainees at senior rates.
My comment was in jest lol. I think the tone was lost
Do you really have to ask?
Apparently all of them want to work for American companies instead. Besides they don’t want to build their own country like China did, and now is exporting tech to the west that India will never be able to for 200 years more!
Read about paytm, Ola, flipkart to name a few
Millennials are the first generation that experienced wealth creation in India. Our parents more or less lived salary to salary. So my generation has been taught to play safe. I believe Gen Zs will bring innovation, since they have safety nets of their millennial parents. And India is a relatively young democracy, so it’ll take some time. If India can create so many engineers, innovation is just a matter of capital. We also shouldn’t forget the fact that Britishers looted us for 250 years leaving the country in shambles.
Can you provide any credible reference that Brits took money from India? I hear a lot of this from my Indian friends and while I’ve an open mind I just don’t see any truth in this argument especially since I’ve visited the country

Indians are talkers not doers. We excel at the office politics necessary to take over already successful tech giants in the West but don’t have the imagination or drive to build them from scratch on our own. That’s why we end up just creating a bunch of body shops and call centers to sell our cheap labor, but rarely do anything more sophisticated than that.
Exactly, we’ll said. OP here is ur answer
Well I’m not Indian but Indians in SV are pretty successful doing this that is building companies from scratch, with many breakthrough companies like rubrik cohesity etc. I’ve also visited India and I don’t see a TikTok coming from there for may decades
I've read somewhere that India graduates millions of engineers, although it's kinda strange that they don't have something on the level of FAANGMULA. They should have 10x the FAANG companies that US has.
99.9% of those millions don't have money, exposure and thought process to create FAANGMULA.. they have never seen anything like that..
@Google Google it .. there are many reasons for that.
