Google chromebook only has 2 USB-C ports and I want to connect multiple USB-C devices to it. I have trawled through Amazon but am amazed that I cannot find a single one. There are many hubs that have USB 3.1 USB-A ports but not USB-C ones. Is there a limitation in the spec that prevents this being possible? Does anyone know where i can buy one with at least 3 usb-c? #remotework #wfh
The chips to do one to many usb c don't seem widely available yet ... yeah, seems the most you'll get right now is 2 usb c and a few other ports eg from belkin https://www.belkin.com/us/p/p-f4u090/ You should be able to use usb c adapters for most devices though in a usb 3 port ..
If I remember correctly the chip manufacturers haven't produced a chip that can handle this yet / until recently. It's not a limitation of the spec.
