I know folks at FB that get to fly to off sites multiple times during their internship, not even just for the orientation. Does any other company do this?
You don't travel for business? I guess I wouldn't be surprised given amazon but assumed you would just have to fly economy or something.
No it’s Amazon we don’t get shit
So you only vc with people from other offices?
The why is because relationships with other sites matter, so the business trips are inherently justified. The fun ones are because good interns have a choice of where to go (maybe Amazon's don't, idk) and if FB was fun to intern at, they come back. I sometimes get envious of those trips but then I remember college students are probably as broke as I was, and then my net worth delta, then I'm just happy for the little pischers

The budget per person depends on the team and size of team, but can be high enough to cover the flight.
Airbnb has the same policy?
No, I’ve worked at FB. Went to Las Vegas with my team once.
