24M NW: ~$100K TC: 190K Yoe: 2
Glass half empty or half full?
I dunno I guess it’s hard being in like the 95th percentile of income for your age. Poor thing.
Have u graduate from university before start ur work?
Yeah at 22
Great, I am 27 just going to join google double ur TC and time the market
You are actually very good
Well tbh after CA taxes 190k is like 110k. Then a decent apartment is $4k/month. So you’re down to $60k just to not be homeless. Let’s say you’re saving & investing $30k/yr ($2.5/mo), you’re now down to 30k. The rest of your bills (car, Internet, phone, insurance, subs) probably total to $1.5 a month at most (18k total), so you’re now down $12k. That’s $1k/month play money. You can’t exactly feel rich or throw some bands on $1k/month in play money. You probably eat it all at Starbucks and bullshit restaurants and expenses and don’t even notice. IMO you need $400k+ TC to start feeling “rich” in CA at least. And even then you can barely afford a 2 bedroom shack, if that.
Dude, wake up. People are losing their jobs right now and can’t pay their bills. You think this is the right time to post this?
You’ll feel even more poor when they lay you off. Get back to work and put up some code for Sundar instead of being on Blind.
Will FB layoff because zuck spend too much money emotionally this week
perhaps when (not if) ads takes a big hit. but likely not. In any case, I can never trust the Corp so that is why this week i have enrolled in some classes at Leetcode University
You're not poor for your age. If you said that at 30 then I'd be more concerned.
After this market dip, I’m 31 with $75k total net worth including retirement Not everyone has made 6 figures since they were 22-24 years old
Yeah. It’s kind like natural selection and why girl like rich guy
