Why do people adore SWE work?
Why do people think SWE is hard? Lmao. Seriously, they swear we’re geniuses or something. It’s the same shit day in and day out.
They probably think it's hard or "adore" it because there is a lot of money to be made and think the complexity of the job correlates with our overrated salaries when in fact it is simply related to the free market. I definitely didn't became swe for the love of the job 😂

Engineering is the easiest. The hardest part is knowing what product to build and then leading a team to do it. I say that as someone trained as an engineer and who’s done engineering, management, and entrepreneurship.
Build a self driving car! Everyone wants one, so you already know what to build. Now go build it and tell me what was the hardest part. The toughest question isn't what, but how.
Demand vs Supply game. There is lot more demand than supply..
I think easy-vs-hard is subjective, but most everyone can agree there’s an extremely steep learning curve for someone who is starting from square one. If you can visualize outcomes, think abstractly when necessary, and draw analogies to help demonstrate the relationship between two parts, you’re at an advantage.
SWE is not for everyone. Just because it is easy for you doesn't make it easy
I don't care what others think. I enjoy it and it pays well.
