Seriously if you write something on a platform that clearly identifies you then you should own it and any consequences or benefits that can come from it. I don't understand why Blinders feel the need to hide the names of other people. If you don't want to be identified then post on an anonymous platform not your company Slack or your LinkedIn.
You.. you're asking why people choose to respect privacy of other people?!?!?! What?
Yes. That other person wrote something on a public platform like LinkedIn that clearly identifies them. Why pretend they are entitled to any privacy for the post? I find it very confusing.
1. that person could want to edit and delete it. 2. that person could have it so that only certain people can view that post like “friends only” on facebook. 3. that person doesn’t want to be made fun of outside of that platform 4. that person might have written something that could be easily be misunderstood if shared without context

OP will delete this post soon
Basic etiquettes. The other person isn’t here to respond back while you hide behind your anonymity and reveal their name.
Your point is pretty valid.. don't post something online if you don't want someone to see it. Pretty simple. However the internet can also be pretty brutal for literally nothing, always searching for a new target to be angry about. Turning the mindless horde on someone's unpopular opinion, such as yours here, would make me feel really gross.
Weird thing to post on Blind
It’s about protecting the OTHER person, not their own.
