I often get a personalized message from recruiters of big tech advertising an open role which is supposedly perfect for me. I have LinkedIn on my phone with notifications turned on, and so I am quick to respond. And my responses are very safe and standard, along the lines of “happy to connect and learn more”. And yet, far too often, I won’t get a response back. Why would recruiters do that? If they’re wasting energy (even if it is automated) to contact me, why wouldn’t they want to follow up?
It only seems personalized. They send it out to many people and take a deeper look once someone replies
They send out hundreds of those messages at once. By the time you replied, they already caught enough suckers
It’s not actually personalized in that it’s just a template with your name inserted. Recruiters reach out to so many people, it’s no surprise they can’t keep up with responses
Because linkedin sucks and has message delivery glitches.
Is that the reason for them not responding?
When they don't receive your message, I heard that multiple times from recruiters. Maybe some recruiters here can confirm.
