While automated rejection emails can be tough to receive, I think most candidates would opt for clear communication over ghosting. I had a recent experience with a recruiter at who didn’t respond to my two email follow ups after an interview, but instead, “archived” my application in smartrecruiter. (This was with a company who doesn’t receive a ton of applicants— I know because I’d worked on their HRIS in a previous role.) Why not send a generic rejection email? I’m genuinely curious #smartrecruiters #ghost #recruiter
Instacart straight ghosted…auto reject would have been amazing. Glad i don’t use the product.
🙌
No one likes to be the bearer of bad news, one of the reasons why they ghost you.
They dont have balls.
So that you don't sue them for discrimination or for hurting your feelings when you're suicidal and depressed. Such events can bring significant bad press especially to smaller companies, even if the rejection is legitimate
why do blinders post the same topic over and over and over …?
because playing nice with failure rejects isn’t a metric for their job. the time it takes eats into the time they could be hitting their numbers. this should be obvious to you

I fucking hate it and I don’t know why either. Ghosted by Coinbase. Shame on you, you useless recruiter! End up with better offer anyways! Jokes on you!
Glad to hear you got a better offer!
Ty! I was at Amazon before and I know a lot of recruiters work under high pressure and many of them are temp so maybe that’s why they ghost cuz we don’t keep track of it
