Why do software engineers use iPhones?
I moved to iPhone a few months back to see what the hype was about. But it's so frustrating and restrictive. I was missing so many useful features of my Samsung S21, that I moved back. I hated it enough that I moved to Samsung again. I'll still keep my MacBook, iPad, Airpods Pro . But iPhone is just so far behind than Android in so many ways. So my question is - why do smart people who know what is going on behind the curtains of technology choose to use an inferior phone and user experience? I understand that iPhone is the perfect phone for a certain population who use their phone as just a tool for basic purposes like calls, texts and a few minutes of basic apps everyday. Also, let's do a poll for phone demographics on Blind. PS: I'm baked out of my mind on this Friday evening. So please don't be mean.

This. Android can give me a million features that I don’t need and are a pain to use, and iPhone gives me what I need and makes them ergonomic.
I felt iPhone build is solid. It doesn’t slowed down over period of time.

Because I want a phone that takes care of me not a phone which I have to take care by selecting multiple customizations at each and every step
Curious what else do you do on your phone apart from what you have mentioned…phone is a phone..its not a gaming device or a camera for that matter, no matter how hard someone tries to sell it..I like an iphone cause its just that a phone that helps me reliably make call and text without breaking or hanging and lasts for a decent amount of time..what more do you want from it?
This. The primary task of a phone should work as smooth as possible and iPhone is perfectly capable of it.
