Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Every other day there is a post on insta from the ladies or on every dating bio there is this line “love to travel”. Would they travel if there was no insta. Is it tied to social status smh. Are there no introvert women who love to be at home and watch Netflix.
Prestige and showing off.
It's just the women posting on IG, it's not like all women are heavy international travelers.
Lots of people, men and women love to travel. Seems like you maybe an outlier. It’s not tied to social status, seeing more than the 4 walls of your apartment is far more fun than not.
It is absolutely tied to signaling social status. You think someone who works two hourly jobs can go to Thailand or Europe? Or even a national prk? Likely not. Traveling is for wealthy people
What do you do during travel that you cant do in ur city. Every city in us has a waterbody and bars . Been there done that
This is called marketing, and is just a staged social status to appear "worldly". Once they get married, they quickly exchange their travel life for a boring suburban house and minivan.
Validation and social status. Guess who’s paying for their plane ticket
But how does traveling gets you validation? Like ur superior cause u travel lol
Well traveling these days is a luxury. Most Americans barely have 1k in their bank account. Even a shitty economy plane ticket will cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, and then you factor in other expenses like hotel, possible rental car, food, things to do there, and it’s definitely a couple thousand if not more. So to be able to travel and then post pics of you frolicking around on some beach in your bikini drinking a piña colada while the rest of us have to work like dogs? That’s definitely a flex.
Wrong pool. Introverted women who love to be at home and watch Netflix have much less likelihood to post actively on Instagram, or have a profile in dating apps.
Ok where to find them then
At home watching Netflix
It's a fact that men never say they love to travel in their bios.
To find alpha males outside especially during the mating season
Bruh their dating apps are full of matches. Why would they need more men
Travel to get other men.
It’s a meaningless statement. It’s like saying you love food - news flash everyone likes to eat good food. Most single trait folks are single cell brains.
Bruh…you been mislead….90% of them are boring af, just put travel as a hobby because they don’t have anything else interesting to add
Lol this is like boring men calling themselves "foodies" because they eat out a lot.
This. Go on a date. They ask me my hobbies. They look unimpressed when I say them. I ask them theirs, and they be stumbling for words 💀
