Seems like it's still a growing industry internationally...I know the quick answer is streaming, but other countries have streaming too...Looking to hear some educated answers.
Streaming is better in USA? Example Netflix doesn’t work in a lot of countries and if it does it blocks a lot of shows and movies that u can stream here. Always have to use vpn to get around that restriction
Becuase people have realized that they need to get their ass off and start leetcoding if they wanna make money
OK....
Less developed countries are starting or get better infra in place so tv and cable is more affordable to the average person.
TV service as we know would cease to exist in a decade or so. Kids/Adults today don’t stand the concept of Ads between movies etc. You can get similar or exact content on streaming platform ON DEMAND and without Ads. Companies might subsidize the plan with Ad. Netflix is far ahead in this and everyone is playing catch up. Apple/Amazon/Disney/HBO all wants a piece of pie.
It’s too damn expensive! Why pay for TV service that shows commercials? Buy yourself an antenna for less than $100 and you’ll get more than 60 channels in a metro area. Who has time to watch 100+ channels?
Get yourself a Roku.
Being from Charter, my opinion may be biased. I feel that we have started to have so many streaming options that it will become too costly to have subscribed to everything. Streaming was supposed to be cheaper than cable. But now Netflix, Prime, Hulu, HBO, Disney, Sling, Youtube together will cost more than cable.
Only subscribe when your shows are on. Simple as that. You think I keep all these services year round? That's crazy.
Commercials and terrible customer service
The same US channels are a lot more watchable outside US (much less commercials)
