They don’t have the technology yet.
There's no way of knowing what goes inside tiger's head
When was the last time they added any new big feature? I feel like updating tip would be the most wanted feature, especially since their customer support would be bombarded with tip update requests all the time.
Use cash tip so you know it actually goes to the dasher
Doesn't dd keep the tip anyways?
They used to. Now they technically give the entire tip to the dasher. But people have done some data studies that found DD’s blackbox pricing algo seems to calculate lower wages for dashers on average (taking time + distance into account) when dashers get more tips. So effectively they’re making the same as before when DD was stealing tips. Basically tip in cash if you’re able to.
I've done it plenty of times... What are you talking about? For example, I never preemptively tip, I tip if it's deserved (i.e. - my food gets to me in a reasonable amount of time). Once my food is delivered, I then go back to my order in the app and then you can rate the food/driver, and tip if you'd like.
Wait what? Are you talking about DoorDash specifically? Cuz I’ve never seen this option
Yep Doordash specifically. You have about a hour after delivery to rate your order (uber eats has the option too). In Doordash you go to the Orders tab on the bottom, select your most recent order, etc etc. I have DashPass idk if that makes a difference (it shouldn't?)
You can already do that. Unless you’re on the wrong side of a control experiment this has been released for a while I believe.
Then I’m on the wrong side. I looked everywhere today after my order was finished. Did I have to pay 0 before ordering to get the chance to tip afterwards?
Yes, can’t tip before and after, I should have mentioned that!
Prob cut corners on programming
