Trying to find a reasonable justification and/or theory. I’m trying to understand the reasoning behind their SLT and why they would not venture out in this industry? Reasons like they don’t need to/they have shit loads of money/ enough competition already don’t seem to resonate well. Apple has a history of entering the market late and perfecting it (atleast on consumer hardware). Just genuinely curious.
because they've got so much in the bank that they need something to do with it all, and one of those somethings is to use the major public cloud providers as their infra.
Their internal infrastructure is massively siloed and lagging behind the big 4. Their services track record isn't great either... remember MobileMe?
Lol mobile me... just weird to think that they have amazingly talented people as well, yet they focus literally all their energy on iOS and MacOS
Because Apple is a hardware company?
Infrastructure is hardware.
They know what they are good at.
For the same reason Microsoft no longer has a mobile phone.. too little too late
Apple is B2C not B2B.
But Apple's B2B offerings are growing very quickly. It's a $25 billion business for Apple
Thank you, I didn't realize that. Definitely something to read about tonight.
Remember using AppleMaps? ... me neither.
Because Apple can't write software for shit and never could. They're a Turtle wax / Meguiar's company
From what I know they can't handle their own servers well. Same uber.
Really? With all the optimization’s that they out in MacOS, Itill be hard to believe if can’t get the shit together in Unix
They haven't done software services that well
