I've been on a couple of apps and a lot of girls link to their ig or sc. Is this an auto red flag or are there normal girls who link to their social media? Anyway, it would be awesome if these apps had a review system where people can give feedback. Like this person's a creep or this person's a bot.
Because it will be racist. All the revealed preferences of dating will be embarrassing for the app
Do you think so? The ratings will only work on people you matched, do you think that will change people's habits for matching just to be racist?
the apps don't have incentive to remove thot bots
Indians in America will have their soul crushed.
I don't think this is necessarily true, if they're getting matches, they'll get positive feedback and if they weren't getting matches before they won't have any I guess lol
Lol thats like uber rating. How do you know someone is not lying and giving false rating. Dating apps motive is to increase the hookup culture not you to get your soulmate.
But I don't think bots help with getting laid, so why waste time matching then and talking to them? It would be an average though, so you can weed out fake reviews
Dude its such a bias game . With rating even if you like someone it would unconsciously help you reject them cause its social media. So ppl who hv low score will get no chance which happens enough for us indian guys
You can only have a few pictures on a dating app and chances are your socials have more context as to what you like to do for fun etc. I don’t think it’s a red flag tbh.
I was wondering about this, it's just hard to figure it out from no bio and just a handle, especially if you go to it and there's an disproportional follow to follower ratio
Ya depends on the person. It takes 2 seconds to check out an IG and figure out for yourself. Or just disregard it and see if you guys match and get along. I think if they don’t have a bio or whatever that’s sus. Although tbh I haven’t been on dating apps in a few years so my information is a little out of date. My personal opinion is that if they link it check it out to see if there’s anything that is helpful for you to determine if they’d be a fun person to date. Swipe or whatever to your preference and leave it at that. This is as a woman who has been on dating apps in their 20s and usually links my IG.
Tinder used to have a hidden score for everyone that would determine matches but they said they removed it
-- Anyway, it would be awesome if these apps had a review system where people can give feedback. -- So I mean obviously go ahead and report people through the existing mechanisms that exist on both tinder and bumble (referenced in post but almost all dating apps have this) Stamping a Yelp rating on dating app users is just an objectively horrible idea for a multitude of reasons. Namely - privacy (even a single review, even just a 1-5 rating indicates usage vs simply having an account) - safety in harassment - human bias to leave bad reviews over good reviews - nobody wants to see that you're talking to other people or have ever really anyway, don't you just love talking to your significant other about your exes? Booooo
Also, normal girls do in fact link their social media. To address the deeper point here, it's just quite difficult to automatically ban bots without extremely tight criteria. Risking banning real users is a tradeoff at play
Meh, I don't think anyone in the modern age is expecting to solely date virgins. If you want to preserve some amount of privacy, it could be a drop down of reasons, such as unresponsive or bot or something like that. Since making the post, I got a couple of matches, they're all a little suspicious, one unmatched after I sent a message, one sent me their handle to follow them, but didn't specify what to follow them on, the rest didn't respond. I think a lot of systems have this feedback loop and a lot of people see tinder as Uber for sex lol. Also you don't need number of reviewers, just show an aggregate. Or maybe do show numbers, people need to stop caring

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
almost all of them who do that are just trying to get followers, and it's very successful
That's what I'm thinking, but some of them don't have bot-ish pics, they're just normal pics of them doing everyday things. Also this whole thing is so weird to me, how many followers are they getting that makes it worth it
I don’t link my ig but I share my ig handle. I do this instead of linking because I don’t want the dating app to have all my ig data. I share my ig handle so that guys know I’m a real person and not a boy or someone catfishing them. Is this not even necessary?
