Every other topic is now about India and Indians in tech. If not, the comments drive conversation in that direction. It has become fashionable to blame Indians whether it be dating scene, work culture, just culture, TC chasing, Visa challenges and what not. Few Indians follow suite and propagate the same negative sentiment Does this mean the entire tech community thinks like this about their Indian colleagues, but are only getting to open up on this anonymous platform? Should I secretly worry about how my non-indian colleagues perceive me? For background, I came to the states for love for the tech and I got a PhD and work in research and absolutely love my work for work. Blind tax: 750k with stock growth EDIT1: after 200 polls: 1 in 3 Indians dislike their Indian colleagues 1 in 2 non Indians have pre conceived notions about their Indian colleagues.
You only need 1% of Indians using to dominate a lot of platforms
Worst options
I like my Indian Amazon colleagues, just not Indian SDMs (It might not be all of them, but I had very bad experiences with them)
Amazon Indian SDMs are the worst even in life outside work. One of them is my flatmate and he just sucked the peace out of me. I'm moving out. I'm L4 and on F1 opt. I would say never ever stay near these guys. Toxicity level more than methane.
Mind explaining Amazon? Curious
Yeah it sucks, else what would we do
I like my Indian colleagues, idgaf where they’re from. I’m Hispanic and you rarely see other Hispanic SWEs at big companies
Why is that do you think?
Bc Indians hire other Indians in tech.
Same thing happened to Quora — its a usless place now
^^ this. I want to see some different opinions on Quora and BAAM an Indian dude/gal shows up with a longass boring reply plus an ending poetry about unending gratitude or some shit. Then another one, then another one. Until I give up and log off from the damn app.
Edit: thank you for 100 likes!!1 Edit 2 : thank you for 10000likes!!11 i want to thank my uncle aunt mom dad and boyfriend fir believing in me while growing up. Edit 3: this is my most upvoted answer! God truly exists!! First of all let me tell you how I was born. When I was born there was a red star at night and it was a rare red star. And a whole paragraph that has nothing to do with the question To answer your question: xyz abc.
Soon we ll see blind California/Austin/bay area/Seattle meetups People discussing their TC growth journey and huge crowds listening and applauding in awe ,then we ll have samosas and chaas for refreshments and break into smaller groups to find ways to become the richest majority population in America. 🚀🚀🚀🚀mission blind invasion 2030.
You got me at chaas 😋😋 Where do I signup?
I’ve gone to a meetup from blind lol.
Because India is going to be new Centre of the world It has the right minded people and more than right quantity of it
😂😂 lol largest socialist Banana republic of the world
I can't wait to be assigned a caste.
I think we white people are just in culture-shock sometimes by things like arranged marriages, manager toxicity, toxic parents, you wishing you were in India while being here, etc
lol what’s the culture shock about missing home?
If you miss home why would you be in the US? You can get a FAANG job in India and live like a king.
