Using the internal tools and some of the software available through AWS (eg Quicksight), the design is so unintuitive and so poorly documented. The GUI feels like I went back to the 2000s and everything seems so bloated and overly complicated. How can Amazon be considered a tech leader when its software products are so difficult to use for users? Edit: Seems like everything is riddled with bugs as well
Insist on high standards 😉
Anytime I ask for demo their 'innovative' product they always start with creation of ec2 for 30 mins and then the actual product for next 15 mins. When asked if x feature is present they will say it's not there yet but will come soon and it never comes.
Base product was built a long time ago before modern software practices were a thing.
Because their ux designers suck. And Amazon is famous for treating people badly, employees and consumers.
Is quick sight still there? I used it in 1999. Horrible tool.
Still horrible can confirm
Lol G2 from Meta jumped ship and put in charge of Quicksight now.
Finally someone said this. The shittiest in house tools are only at Amazon. I worked at both Google & Facebook before this and I’m honestly not sure why do they complicate things so much here?!
Because ux design is in many cases non existent and we are pressured to release things before they are ready
QuickSight is not internal tool - better than some other analytics tools out there

You are correct. It is very technical and over complicated for even business users to drop files in s3 bucket.
Even the simplist thing like authentication have long discussion threads in forums. WTF !?
True. I can remember those days
