Why is Cupertino housing so expensive ?

Apple, HP (used to be).. and lot of Asians so good school.

To understand it, imagine Cupertino was cheap. So you’d have very expensive houses in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale. Where would all the buyers flock to? That’s right, Cupertino! If schools were an issue, and locals didn’t want to move in there, there’d still be plenty of overseas investors (that’s right out country is for sale) who would buy all the houses there and demand would drive the prices up. A lot of the tech employees (mostly younger people) making these ridiculously high salaries, don’t have marriage and having kids as priority. Schools are not that important to them. They want to live close to their work places. Long story short, high tech industry, foreign investors and our stupid money worshipping government officials, our capitalist system, are all responsible for the messed housing in the Bay Area. Free unregulated markets and laws of supply and demand dictate prices. It is what it is. We take our system with the good, the bad, and the ugly!

It’s been expensive for the last 25 years primarily due to proximity to Apple and many other tech companies at the time like Agilent and HP. Then the schools became standouts and Asian immigrants just settle in the area. That process keeps continuing to feed into itself and therefore makes it an exp to live.

Monta Vista, Lynbrook (some people from Cupertino go there IIRC) are highly ranked, Cupertino high isn't too bad. Chinese and Korean families see it as the budget Palo Alto.

expect this anywhere in South Bay. cupertino has amazing schools.
