Why does almost every new Google product fails, either gets cancelled or lose to competitors? Other than the OG search engine and products from before 2010 like gmail and gmap, the most successful products in google are all from acquisitions(YouTube, Android). Have google lost the ability to make customer facing product? #Google
Like which products? Some are doing poorly but surely not all
Interesting, I wouldn’t call Maps and Drive/Docs/Sheets/etc. bad and that’s just off the top of my head
you are correct
Maps, Gmail, Home Assistant, Photos, G suite, among others
Maps (keyhole) and GSuite (writely) were acquisitions
Are you seriously saying that Google Maps and Gsuite have stayed exactly the same as the date they were acquired?
Google runs n promo driven development
Guessing OP is referring to all the chat apps, Stadia, Loon, Google+, etc etc
Promo driven culture is at least part of the problem
Yes Google sucks at social media period
And Facebook only has social media to work with, so I guess it's about the same
It's like saying FB sucks at search lol
Yes. G feels like Msft 10-15 years ago. They’ve been stagnant for a while, coasting on their past accomplishments but no long innovating.
Yes
