Building your own car from scratch is hard. Building your own Level 5 autonomous car from scratch is harder. They are avoiding working with OEMs. So from an investor's perspective they're a super long shot without that much benefit over the other self driving options
Zoox is having hard times raising cash? Zoox series B: 500mil at 3.2B valuation, 15.6% Aurora series B: 500m at 2B valuation, 25% Nuro series B: 940m at ??, SoftBank money, really aggressive terms. Not a good round for them, even though itâs a lot of cash. Uber, Lyft, Waymo have backing companies. Cruise has backing cash but also partnerships. Not sure what dilution is like for these agreements. Argo also backed by ford and VW partnership. Not sure what terms are like for this funding.
Nuro valuation at 2.7B, so thatâs 34.8%
