Why is capital one not sponsoring h1b?
I see a ton of openings in locations am interested in but they are not sponsoring h1b!! What is wrong!????
Not for software engineering anymore. I worked there a while ago. They have patches of great talent. Most of the company is mediocre though.

Thats why their site goes down so often
Our site goes down because we have fake resiliency tests that are supposed to be a chaos monkey/kong event but planned months in advance so that the teams during the event have ample time to prepare to "pass" the exercise without actually realizing that it's not about passing an exercise but being prepared to actually solve a real outage.
It’s also job family specific. I’m pretty sure we still sponsor H1B for data scientist candidates
This started around January 2017, we haven’t been sponsoring for a long time. It’s really the company’s loss.
I know a ton of people who got into cap one last year, their h1b was filed this year. I am not sure why this news is doing the rounds, hearing about it since the start of 2017, but facts are contradictory. Or maybe they sponsor for only specific positions now.
Yeah sorry, so it’s only Director or above. It could vary by line of business. This is at least the policy in my division.
