Why is glassdoor and other sites far off on salary/TC than blind?
Trying to do TC research on Glassdoor and other sites are far lower than the TC I see posted here, any reason why?
Region? Country? Levels? People not posting on Glassdoor but posting here? π€₯ ππ€π€·π»ββοΈπ

I have the feeling that most people using Glassdoor are low earners, try levels.fyi or indeed
This has always boggled my mind too. I remember thinking my salary was at least okay basing it off of Glassdoor. I could have never imagined I was being underpaid so much. Like right now Meta on Glassdoor is listed as having an average salary of 130K for SWEs. Like wtf. I think one of the issues might be Glassdoor does not get rid of old data points so really old data points might be drastically bringing the average down. I think Glassdoor is a big reason most SWEs have no idea of their real worth. They see FAANG+ TCs as only marginally higher than their own and figured their pay is fine or at least there aren't really any significantly better options out there.
People in tech still use Glassdoor?
I found blind after the door dash article about high paid people complaining about having to make a delivery. From here, found blind. - wish I had it prior for negotiations TC 400k
