Screw it. Don't care anymore. Let Israel take it. One state solution.
I have about one year full time experience and one year of internships with a college degree, and a two certifications one in azure fundamentals and UX design from google. No matter what I just cant hear back from any company anytime i ask someone to look at my resume they say it looks good and yes im aware the market is bad currently but its so disheartening. Currently in a two year contract at td and im just worried when it ends I wont be able to find a job i mean i will have two years of experience im sure that will help right? Anyone have any insight or words of wisdom much appreciated. #SoftwareEngineer #FullStackDeveloper
Tech moves fast and reacts to the current climate swiftly. When the job market is good for engineers, the wheel is moving and we jump ship for higher tc. When the numbers are bad, companies are as quick to layoff as we were to jump ship. It will change and rebound with time. Just be persistent and don’t burn yourself out.
Great advice thank you
Certifications don’t mean anything. Stop worrying and focus on improving your skills so that when you get an opportunity you can take advantage of it.
Thats a good point but idk i thought having it on my resume might boost the chances of getting eyes on it.
I feel like based on the profile that you described, the market wouldn't have responded well even in 2021 and 2022. Get more yoe, focus on deep knowledge in backend, web frontend or a mobile platform. Remove the word fullstack from your resume. Fullstack is an anti-signal. Certs are an anti-signal. Leetcode a lot.
It’s just hard times in the market right now. Keep grinding, building up artifacts, and updating your resume. You will be ok! Take advantage of what you have now and try to find ways to improve workflows and yourself. There will be times where imposter syndrome kicks in, but just know you’re on the right path to success. If you apply to 100 listings and get 1 offer, you are doing great. Keep your head up and keep pushing forward
Thanks man i needed that.
