It’s been around for over 20 years and there’s no real competitor. Why?
Go create one if you think there's a need for a competitor

None of those sites were work enough
LinkedIn currently has no competitors as it provides a sufficient amount of content and opportunities to keep its user base engaged. However, engineers may benefit from having their own specialized social platform, which they could potentially transition from when they advance to managerial positions and utilize the features offered by LinkedIn.
You got the best username for a Microsoftie
Like a more professional Blind? Honestly, the pseudo-anonymity allowing people to be completely honest, unfiltered, and disincentived from spewing the fake cringe that's infested LinkedIn is what I love about Blind. I think making things more professional and publicly visible would just create the wrong incentives and ruin the platform.
Too cringe already
Hired tried hard. Indeed is targeted towards blue collar jobs more. Glassdoor is still just a review site and does salary comparison tbh
Nobody uses LinkedIn for realz. It's like Instagram for resumes. You go there once and post your CV, and never come back. Maybe update every 2-3 years. A noisy minority keeps the traffic up by posting new pictures of their food or butts everyday, and that's it. Who would want to build a new site that is only used by a dozen narcissistic b*tches?
But what actually makes MS money from operating LI? The convos between random folks posting food pics & announcing promotions? Or the job-hunter/recruiter interactions that is most of the traffic?
Microsoft is jealous not getting paid as Microsoft subsidiary linkedin employees
There is, you're using it right now.
Easy-easy. At least it’s growing
People tried. It failed. Indeed, Glassdoor, Angel list etc. Just like how there is no competitor to Gmail, Google search, FB.
Cough Cough !!! Have you heard of TikTok ??
^ have you also heard it's getting banned 😂
