All I need is a simple image editing program that an idiot like me could use. MS Paint from 20 years ago still beats everything on the market. OS X? Garbage. Linux? Couldn't figure out how to draw an outlined rectangle in GIMP in less than 10 minutes. Pinta doesn't even allow you to resize a selection. And it crashed while exporting a jpg. MS? Deprecated Paint with no alternative. At least Photoshop has feature parity with Paint but I'd prefer not to spend $1000 on this... </rant>
Spend your TC
Microsoft got so much backlash they undepracated paint. Also you can use word to draw on and put text on pictures, then group the pictures/drawing together, resize etc. When your happy with it you can send as is or flatten it with another screenshot.
Did you try Audacity ? I heard it’s open source and free for personal use. Supports Macs as well. Comes with lots of low pass filters/echo/ flanger etc. Works great.
Paintbrush you’re welcome
Learning how to use GIMP is a once in a lifetime sunk cost with low amortized cost
Kolorpaint under kde is your friend
No matter how much you hate Microsoft, they have made some of the best products.
I miss SuperPaint from the OS 6.0 days. Why can't we have a simple drawing app anymore?
OSX built-in Preview app has pretty much all the editing capabilities of MS Paint. I use it a lot for adding arrows or rectangles to screenshots. It has its limits but if you're looking for MS Paint it should be able to give you everything you need
Dosen't google have some online drawing tool? I thought MS paint got un-deprecated also. GIMP is fine once you pick up a few tricks.
