Why did they design workday like that? Why do you need to make an account just to apply to jobs? Someone smarter please explain
It must be on purpose to weed out people who don’t care enough? But you’re making the assumption that the best candidates care enough to fill out a bunch of garbage when it’s probably the more desperate candidates who will do so. Workday needs to hire a product manager who can empathize with users in at least the smallest of ways

Chrome auto fill but it only gets about 50% of the stuff
I know about Chrome autism but that's not what I was referring to, actually. Somewhere along the way I saw there was a plug-in that did a better job at filling them in.
As HM, we never read info from the ATS platform. We only read resume. So just fill in the bare minimum (name, email, phone), and we will still look at your profile. Btw we only spend about 30s to 1min. So make sure it’s clear and straight to the point. 1 page max for <5yoe. 2 pages max for <10yoe.
I am not impressed with Workday. My firm switched over this pay period and I can't access my paystub, or anything else. I have never had a problem with ADP or Gusto.
Customers set it up that way. Probably as a filter for candidates. They like making applicant experience as miserable as possible. It’s a “feature” Good example of a loginless workday app is eBay if you wanna check it out

Yes, prioritize having names and emails over having a great user experience to capture more of the addressable market. Great decision making Edit: on second thought what additional data do they gain by having you create an account? Every app has name and email. As if having a home address and physical parsing of the resume adds any value at all
