1. You will commute more. The commute boredom is essential for creativity. Humans need to be bored 2h/day min. Being hooked to screens is killing creativity. People are scrolling more miles than they are commuting. 2. You will appreciate time at home more. Be honest, 24x7 being home drives your SO crazy. 3. Free office snacks are better than home cooked food. Most of our childhood was spent hacking the linux kernel so we can move protobufs today, so none of us can cook really — office M&Ms are just better. Microwave popcorn doesn’t count as home cooked food. 4. You’ll still space out in a 100+ all hands zoom call while in office, but at least you can stare out the same window your coworker is staring out of
Are you from HR? Or a real estate company?
Based on the lack of creativity within each “reasoning,” you can be sure that’s a yes.
I'm hoping this was a sarcasm post.
I'm pretty sure it is. Though #2 is a solid reason 😁
Yeah kind of. I like the flexibility though. Give me an office and the freedom to wfh when i feel like it. I understand it could be a challenge for companies to work that way but its something thats possible and would improve our lives overall.
5. Poor large oil companies lost profits in 2020. They really need to be more profitable regardless of pollution.
Oh and let's not forget we REALLY need to ramp up the demand for oil at a time of conflict from one of the largest oil producers. We REALLY need to increase the inflation so our salaries don't mean shit.
Lol 1. You think the only way to be creative is to be forced to sit in your car commuting to work. Try meditating. 2. You don’t know how to appreciate what you have without having it taken from you. Try gratitude. 3. You don’t appreciate health or taking care of yourself enough to learn how to cook. Try breaking down the costs, health & financial, of not eating home cooked. 4. Who cares. Excel at your job, leave a bit early & do something social outside of work with your colleagues. Would never hire the mindset behind these reasonings, I can only hope this is a joke. It’s just so bland if it is I don’t understand the value.
Yes some like me want RTO. stop speaking for everyone whoever says otherwise. It’s not fair.
Nice try hr
sorry, what is RTO?
Return to Office
No RTO please. Save money, less pollution, more time, more productivity. Especially for job that require only laptop. Keep it optional.
Name checks out
Lol. Nice
No more people don’t want to RTO Companies and the government are creating a perception that everyone wants to RTO because their productivity overall is down over two years
Agree on the first part. Research says otherwise on the second part - no farm business productivity has been at the highest levels in decades (gaining 7% last quarter) driven by an INCREASE in #hours worked (yeah you read that right). RTO is just reflective of companies wanting oversight of their worker ants.
With all due respect. How do you manage a farm outside of either being home if you live on the farm, or commuting to your farm if you don’t? Everything must be in person, no? I’m failing to see how WFH affects farming in the slightest? For RTO I’d bet productivity was very high (higher than in person) at the beginnng of the pandemic, then declined rapidly as people were getting more and more burned out and figured they could coast without being caught. Now people are realizing RTO is a possibility, and some are even sick of WFH because it’s a bad lifestyle not leaving your home at least once a day so productivity is going up again as people anticipate RTO.
