With recession looming on our head and many prominent economist are warning about a bad 2023, why new car prices are still not budging? Interest rates are so high. Tesla offered $7500 instant discount last week yet Audi, BMW, Volvo dealerships are keeping the prices up.
Because other brands did not need discount to move inventory
Simple , Demand and supply
Because demand at luxury brands are even higher. Same at Mercedes. It’s very hard if not impossible to get a new GLE or GLC at dealership. In addition, they put a market adjustment which is $5-10k depends on models on top of MSRP. They sneeze at you (well, me) when I asked if there’s a $800 a month lease GLE or GLC and didn’t bother give me customer service lol. Good luck.
Have you thought why Tesla offers discount? 🤡🤡🤡
Why?
Be patient. They will collapse next year.
2 more weeks in fact.
Because Tesla is shitty while others aren’t
The 7500 is a specific value, check out for potential rebate available next year. If your TC does not qualify for a rebate getting one now is beneficial. So cannot compare Tesla vs non ev. That said car prices missing out on rebate is dropping. The EV6 has dropped 10K in my area in the last 6 months as more buyer are looking to delay the purchase to see how the EV rules will turn out.
tesla build quality is very inferior
Supply is down. Demand is way up.
Greed, even manufacturers are peeved at the stealerships.
