You should see the wall on the north. There is increased crossing on this side, since there is more attention on the south. And people arrive by sea, wall in our beaches. People also arrive by plane 🤷 and overstay their visas. Maybe if companies did not pay illegal wages to hire undocumented, there wouldn't be incentive to stay illegally. People come to work; if they didn't get a job, there is no point in staying. Seems a better solution to crack down on that. The country is so large, there is a lot of surface area to try to wall us in.
Ya I'm against illegal immigration but against pretending a border as long as the Mexican border can be enforced efficiently. Republicans don't give a single fuck about cutting off the source of immigration * Demand from business owners hiring illegals * Ancient social service infrastructure that lets undocumented people still get services without being noticed
Making e-verify mandatory should be top priority but neither political parties even bring that up. No politician gains out of fixing the system.
