As title says, I had an internship at Amazon EU and, following the final feedback of my not-direct manager (my direct one was satisfied and even replied to my emails after a 1-year long no contact with him saying that if I needed help I could contact him and wanted to check the final feedback as I requested, but after that he did not replied anymore, hence my question), the manager was not satisfied with the output of my work. Now, I am not kidding you when I say that the whole team was jokingly making fun of me and the project assigned, and that my direct manager more than once gave me positive feedback on my work, stating that "I feel like we will give a good impression this time" only to be redirected to a different goal from the senior manager (back and forth in an endless and aimless project). While I have little experience, I can confidently say that the project was pointless and the objective was very vague and not impactful at all, and am now desperately looking for a clarification on whether this experience may have impacted my future chances of getting a full time role in Amazon, now or in the future. It is quite disheartening, hence if you have any info on that please let me know, thank you! #Amazon #internship #amazonEU
This is a failure which will follow and shame you for the rest of your life.
What is a non-direct manager? How does their feedback fit into anything?
Pipazon, it's good if they blacklisted you you'll be at peace.
Nope you’re good. I didn’t do great on my internship and came back the very next year on a different team with no problems
I know but I am worried that I’ve been placed in a blacklist or something similar, as the manager of my manager was not satisfied and may have negatively evaluated my internship. Do they ban previous interns to apply to full time jobs? If so, how long will it last? I have a very strong profile and I’ve been rejected for quite a lot positions in the last year.
Was this in the now disbanded EU TES?
are they giving return offers to anyone?
Thank you for your reply! I really need to know, the manager of my manager may have evaluated my internship negatively, and I am quite afraid that I have been placed in some sort of blacklist, would that be possible?
