Just got an offer for SWE at l5. Definitely on the lower side of comps but Disney looks cool on my resume. Did Disney ever have a round of layoffs on the tech side of things? Disney l5 Comp: - 170k base - 150k RSU vest in 4 years - 25k sign-on bonus - Unlimited entry to Disneyland Current TC: 220k #Disney #layoffs #DMED
Is disney actually good on a resume? Always wondered this.
Do it for the park entry!!!
I don’t remember how much tickets are but if it’s around $200 that’s an extra 73k a year if you use the perk everyday
That’s the best TC calculation I’ve seen. You’re doing the Lord’s work.
It depends on the team
They did a big layoff in tech with their Parks and Imagineering divisions back in 2020 because the pandemic obviously hurt them a lot. I honestly do not ever see the US doing a lockdown ever again, no matter how bad a new pandemic is.
I’d bet yes but they’d reneg on offers and layoff contractors first.
Disney is 100 percent thinking of layoffs. There is a hiring freeze that was just announced today. Don’t sign.
Variety just published an article “Disney will begin enacting layoffs, implementing a hiring freeze and limiting company travel” the source is a memo sent by Bob Chapek.” Yikes
Disney still a great place to work and essential/critical roles still being hired.
Yes, after Andor, before Mando
