After working extensively with both Azure and AWS, Azure has a long, long way to go to catch up to Amazon. They can became a serious competitor but Amazon will always have the lead unless something very drastic happens with AWS leadership. As far as Google cloud goes, they're not even close to Microsoft.
No love for oracle?
Never heard of her
đ
In long term, Google and Microsoft can offer the end to end package from IT solutions, to laptop to workspace plus productivity tools and the cloud services. I feel that AWS will be a leader but the other two will close the gap. AWS solutions for the startups down the line would be partial only and not end to end. So possibility of taking over the market.
Lol listen to the G and MSFT folks saying it doesn't matter. G has no chance coming anywhere close in the next few years, and MSFT only copies what AWS does, so they'll always be behind đ. This idea that they are actual competitors is a joke.
You seem to be way too happy as if you own AWS yourself. Enjoy your bananas while getting treated like a slave đ
I never said it's a good place to work, it's fucking brutal, but that's probably another reason they'll stay ahead. AWS work 60-80 hours a week while G/MSFT work 40-50 :)
What about og ibm?
Lol. Good one :)
One can always dream right?
From a tech perspective AWS is ahead and will remain so. But thatâs not always thatâs needed to win in the market. As outlined in The Innovators Dilemma, beyond a point improvement in tech will give diminishing returns in market share/sales. Beyond a point of maturity of the cloud tech, what will matter more to win in the market are partnerships, pricing, migration support, contract flexibility etc. So, Microsoft even with a less capable platform can catch up in terms of revenue/market-share. This is really where the company leadership makes a difference.
Why does Bezos keep being sour grapes for every loss and sues the government? First JEDI and now NASA. Hasnât even gotten one up yet.
Google has no chance. They donât know how to deal with enterprise customers, or how to maintain legacy code.
Google doesnât stand a chance.. it will end just like Google+ project
Microsoft does have a chance of surpassing AWS because for the most part they are not going to piss off their customers by entering into the businesses that they are in. But Amazon is a different beast. Retailers have always been skeptical of using AWS and now I fully expect healthcare companies to be equally skeptical of being on AWS as Amazon seems to have limitless ambitions in the healthcare space and they are moving very fast. Amazon will be losing customers in this space and most likely they will flock to Microsoft as Azure has strong tech and MSFT has deep relationships with most big companies you can think of. Google neither has those relationships, the sales power, or even the right mindset to be able to support such customers.
The cloud market is too big that it doesnât matter much.
This. All 3 will do well.
