I have 3 years of experience and it’s mostly been mediocre experience. Just bug fixes and implementing small time features at small time companies pretty much. For some reason, Facebook thought I did decent at the system design interview (I felt like i bombed it) and wanted to give me an E4 offer. It’s a much bigger company with much bigger products and for a higher level role than I’ve been exposed to. Given my inexperience, do you think I might be a bit in over my head?
Just join it dude.. Congrats 👍
It's ok... Join
So what? You get signing bonus that you don't return if they fire you! And depending on how long you survive, you can use the brand to leverage a good TC
Hey ladki,,. Aathi Kya khandala
Lol
I believe in you! You can do it.
What is your TC once you join FB?
I think my recruiter’s on blind so I’m probably outing myself here, but it’s 225k. Which is absurdly high to me
That’s impressive. I assume the base is 150K?
Which location?
Most likely New York
Go for it! They are careful with hiring, so it sounds like you're having some imposter syndrome, but in reality you have a ton of potential. Congratulations and good luck at Facebook!
Which role is this for?
Just normal software engineer
I think the median for E4 SWE is around 240, but that's still great! Congrats
What did they ask you to design?
It was mostly focused on the API layer and not so much on the backend. Don’t wanna say too much because of NDA
