Will LinkedIn start PIP quota too following the likes of Google, Meta ?

It's the only good wlb and good pay company which doesn't have a PIP yet. I am sure they have lots of coasters too. If Google can PIP 8%, why can't LinkedIn PIP at least 5% ?

Yes very soon. Pip should be everywhere, who only Amazon folks have all fun?

Do you mean a PIP quota? My understanding is that you can get PIPed at LinkedIn

Google trolleyy OP Jul 12, 2022

Amazon GaNz53 Jul 12, 2022

Don't have to pip, they simply layoff

Google trolleyy OP Jul 12, 2022

Google trolleyy OP Jul 12, 2022

LinkedIn jumpshipx Jul 12, 2022

Wow really? Why a quota though? What if 95% are doing well. Do they still try to meet the quota?

LinkedIn Sensei 🥷🏻✨ Jul 12, 2022

Why? Smh.

LinkedIn singerroc@ Jul 12, 2022

Me too

Cimpress iwrh13 Jul 12, 2022

But Do they have mandatory pip quota like Amazon?

LinkedIn tune[in] Jul 12, 2022

LI pips just a very low percentage

LinkedIn R222 Jul 12, 2022

You don't need a quota if you have effective performance management, and in some cases it might make sense to carry a lower performer if they have low TC. For example if you have a Senior SWE performing at a SWE level, you may not want to PIP them if they are being paid at SWE level. It's tough to hire great talent to replace them. The challenge with companies like Amazon is that the pay is somewhat fixed and not adjusted very much for performance, so you end up needing to PIP more.

I believe we pip it’s just not a specific amount. It’s on a case by case basis
