Will Never Forget or Forgive
I have had many ups and downs in my career and have been in different ranks, from IC to management etc. An H1B holder who happened to have a brief power over my employment fired me based on made up BS so they wouldn't be under any threat. I'm immensely happy that many companies now don't support H1B or other types of sponsorships. You just can't bring in and mix a backwards culture in the country. No ethics, no healthy competition, no roots, no morals... Just the damn TC and corporate ladder, corruption and nepotism. #tech #employment #visa #h1b #job #jobs
This happens everywhere. Pretty idiotic conclusion to draw from this experience.
Cause this happened to me so everyone on H1b are bad. This is the kind of generalization that dooms people and society.

By hating them you are the one getting disgusted, irritated, agitated, develop depression, anxiety, IBS, insomnia etc. If your mind is set with some prejudice you will only focus on passionately hating group of random people who donโt even know of your existance.
You're right. The problem is that the folks who come over on H1B mostly tend to be from these cutthroat competitive and corrupt third world countries and they definitely bring a lot of those values and mindset with them to America and the workplace. There's also so many of them now that they are not likely going to assimilate or adopt American values either. Instead they will make America more like their countries back home.

You are prejudiced and blaming those who are willing to do the dirty job. I agree itโs horrible, I hate it as well but every American corporation gets the dirty job done elsewhere e.g. manufacturing industries, textile, companies involving lethal chemicals and can cause climate crisis. They leverage Asian countries for that. With H1Bโs, their location has been changed thatโs it. Corporations are greedy and want rapid product delivery, double digit revenue growth. And people of certain demographics (most third world countries) are willing to do the dirty job. Itโs just that America is willing to sleep peacefully and wants others to make them money.

I feel for your situation. But using that as an excuse for generalization and racism can turn you into the villain. Hate the person wholeheartedly, don't let it leak and poison the waters around you. There are shit people in every demographic.
Unfortunately, most desi managers match this same profile. Truth is not always politically pleasant to hear. Learn to accept it.
