Will Spotify Allow Me To Change My Home Office if I Work Fully Remotely?
I recently accepted a job offer at Spotify and will be starting in a few weeks. The role was listed as New York based and I'm currently in New York. My lease is up at the end of June and I was considering moving from NYC to another state, particularly because Spotify allows full remote work and doesn't adjust your salary based on your location. Much of my team is remote working from other states. NY has a convenience rule whereby if your home office is in another state you owe them taxes even if you never set foot in that state. If I move to a state with a Spotify office(for example Texas) does anyone know whether Spotify would allow me to change my home office to the office in that state so NY wouldn't tax me for a lot of money? They certainly can and I would think they should be willing if they are supporting you as a remote employee.

Depends on the team. Some can only allow you to move within EST because of stakeholders in EMEA. Others are open to anywhere.
