Granted they target at small to medium sized enterprises, I wonder in what way they can approach larger customers who uses data a lot and not becoming tooooo expensive? Currently it is priced by computing units right? Any thoughts and complaints about their product and prices?
DB has over 40% of fortune 500 as customers, does that count?
So I am more think for like lyft we developed our own and we use so much data. I feel like databricks should have an offering for this kind of client when it’s pricing model now make it too expensive for us to use
There are large tech companies using DB. Comparing with them, Lyft is tiny.
DB already has: https://youtu.be/SFeBJxI4Q98

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
What do you mean by ‘into big tech’? That is subjective. Snowflake has broken into large enterprises already. Databricks is in fact now trying to copy their business model. I think DB is better of getting acquired by MSFT.
Why are you hating on DB so much in every thread?
Sorry bruh. It came up in two threads in the context of recession. Nothing personal. I don’t hate DB. I was speaking from investment in the current, volatile market.
