What’s it like to work for Wipro in the Bay Area? Is there growth? Do you feel looked after/cared for? How is the job security?
It's all relative. Compared to a lot of Chinese companies Wipro is amazing. There are a lot of companies that are better than Wipro too.
Looked after and cared for does not exist in dictionary of Indian Sweatshops. Jon security is good if you are willing to relocate back to India incase of visa issues (high probability of one happening)
If its a billable role, you are good till the project is on. Once it's over, you are under pressure to find another role and that may involve relocation! There is no such thing as caring in these companies!
Wipro locally has a decent presence and just opened a digital hub in mountain view. Diversity is much better than usual India based companies..
Unless you want to be a part of an Indian sweatshop, run as far away as you can.
