Wireless systems/firmware opportunities at Apple BayArea
Has Apple completed hiring for 5G/WiFi teams or has lowered the hiring rate generally? I have an oral offer and I really want to have the chance of interview with Apple before moving forward. I am specifically comparing with 4/5 months ago that I started practicing for interview. There were bunch of openings at that time but I was not ready at that time but now that I feel better there is just few. Murphy's law π I have PhD with 4 yoe in Bay Area and I could only find some opportunities for senior levels (7+ or 10+). I have experience in system level simulation, system C, DSP/RTOS firmware of LTE and WiFi systems. Any hint/comment/recommendation would be greatly appreciated.
I know you're in Cisco, but have you checked Meraki? They have some interesting open positions at this level.

I have long story but maybe not able to share the entire the whole. The short answer is, no. I got an offer from Qualcomm at that time but I didn't go because of better counter offer from cisco. I have started interviewing again after few months because of this uncertainty over the air. I can see some positions fit to my background but I think those are just fishing persons with specific skills.
