Women groups/activities

Nov 8, 2019 12 Comments

I am married but my husband is extremely introverted individual. I respect that. Most of my friends are married and often prefer going out as couple. I want to make some new female friends and join clubs/groups.

I live in San Jose.
I enjoy art, cooking, baking and dancing.
I would love spending time doing community service.
Looking for activities/socialize/learn new things on weekends.

Any suggestions?

Why are you bringing up diversity with such an innocuous question?

What? There are men's groups. They're just not that popular because most men want to socialize with women. Come off it

Try meetup.com. It’s a good way to find people near you with similar interests.

I did pottery and art group classes like jewelry making. Esp. Pottery was very social. You learn to make pots and you talk and eat. I met some really interesting people. It is usually mix gender but usually the ratio is more women to men. I didn’t make any close friends but I enjoyed talking and listening to people and their stories and admiring their work. It beat the loneliness.

Meetups, hike buddies help! If you are from a country outside the US, there are a ton of regional community stuff that happens. You can search them on Facebook or just google them.
