Women groups/activities

I am married but my husband is extremely introverted individual. I respect that. Most of my friends are married and often prefer going out as couple. I want to make some new female friends and join clubs/groups. I live in San Jose. I enjoy art, cooking, baking and dancing. I would love spending time doing community service. Looking for activities/socialize/learn new things on weekends. Any suggestions?

Meetups, hike buddies help! If you are from a country outside the US, there are a ton of regional community stuff that happens. You can search them on Facebook or just google them.

Try meetup.com. It’s a good way to find people near you with similar interests.

I did pottery and art group classes like jewelry making. Esp. Pottery was very social. You learn to make pots and you talk and eat. I met some really interesting people. It is usually mix gender but usually the ratio is more women to men. I didn’t make any close friends but I enjoyed talking and listening to people and their stories and admiring their work. It beat the loneliness.
