Do you girls hate it if men compliment on your beauty? (Obviously not talking about the creeps) I genuinely would like to know.
Where? Define compliment. What about me are they complimenting? Not enough information. âYou have a nice hairstyle today!â - good âYou have pretty eyesâ - creepy âHey there, youâre a cutieâ - preparing to fight to defend myself âYou look fun to talk toâ @bar/@club - depends, but almost always on alert âYou look like fun to talk toâ @ table in the workplace lunch room - good/ok Use the ten minute rule. If they can change it in ten minutes or less, probably okay to compliment (outfit, make up, accessories, hair style, etc). Anything more (eyes, smile, General declaration of beauty, etc) should be saved for dating
At a date, yes. At work, please keep it classy. âLooking niceâ or ânice dressâ is enough. Donât make it a point to compliment everyday. Very creepy. No rubber necking. And women donât care how pretty you are at work. Excessive compliments on how they look makes them look less serious and wastes their time
The context of the compliment is completely relevant here. If itâs from a date or in a setting where we are flirting, sure. At work or just randomly on the street or at a coffee shop? Hell no.
If you have to ask you probably shouldn't.
In a casual setting, informal conversations, date, party, etc compliments are more than welcome. At work - well, let's talk about work.
Start by not calling or describing grown women you work with as girls.
What about dames or broads? Chicks?
But when we use women, you would complain it sounds to old
Women love compliments from attractive men. Any compliment from non attractive men is sexual harassment. 1. Attractive man - âgotta say, hope this doesnât come off wrong, youâve got a great assâ. - Woman: thanks i do Pilates. :) 2. Unattractive man. - âhey xxxxx, got a new haircut i seeâ Woman: âoh. Yea.â (Nervous laughter and thinking That was sexual harassment. I feel so violated - i canât report it.) The more attractive the man, the more he can get away with. The two are directly correlated to each other and probably also another axis would be how much self confidence the woman has. M
TIL women at Microsoft still do Pilates
Isn't that hypocritical, how will a guy know that he ugly
Usually they love it when the guy is cute, they hate it when he looks like a creep. Double standard
^ this
Give this guy a trophy
