Can anyone speak to what the overall work environment is like for contractors who work at PayPal? I'm trying to evaluate an offer I recently received from them for a contract role. Are contractors treated like any other employee, or is there a clear distinction between actual PayPal FTEs and PayPal contractors? I don't want to end up in a job situation where I'm treated like a second class citizen simply because of my status as a contractor... Note that this offer is for a business/accounting role, not for an SWE-type position. Any insight you can share is appreciated. Thank you #paypal #contractor #accounting
In my org, apart from being an “AWF” (alternate work force), everything else remains the same. Except for the perks. But treatment wise there’s no difference..
Seen and treated as equals... :)

I’m not sure in the accounting space. What I’ve seen, it really depends on the hiring managers. With our org, contractors are treated the same as employees. We do a lot of conversions from contractor to employee so there is a focus on making sure folks are happy. The one fallout is that there are some employee events like holiday parties which contractors cannot attend.
Thanks for the insight odni!
