I have an offer, the pay is okay (around $210 overall pay for 4 year exp), but I am concerned about their culture after reading multiple negative news. Would love to get real feedback from people working there. Also, should I negotiate more with current offer? Is Nest pay comparable to Google?
did you just receive the offer? did the interview process get drawn out long due to the CEO change?
I recently got offer from next labs and it took same time as a Google offer for approvals. Also offer nums are similar to Google offer. What most ppl don't know is, interview process in nest labs is bit different compared to Google. Interview level is easier compared to Google interview process and ppl who interview the candidate come from teams inside nest labs unlike Google where it's randomly assigned. Most of good ppl seem to have left nest or moved internally inside Google. For ppl who want to backdoor entry into Google nest labs is the best way. Stay for Yr and move inside Google.
Thanks Rittio What did your offer look like? @yahoo I received the offer last week, Interview process was smooth, people were nice.
Got L4 160k base 330k RSUs and 30k sign on. Can you break down yours?
Have 8 yrs of experience
Sure, I have 150 base, 200k RSU and 15k sign on. It's weird that there is no annual bonus.
Their culture is great now that Tony is gone. Better than most of Alphabet.
Does that include Google as well? Is it safe to assume that the culture and flexibilities will be comparable to Google?
Yes. Google is a huge bureaucracy, so Nest is better.
How did you apply to nest? Did a recruiter contact you?
Yeah recruiter contacted me.
How long did you have to wait after the recruiter contacted you to get a call?
can you break down 210k into salary and bonus and stocks etc.
