Work from home

With Disney and Starbucks asking employees to show up at the offices, a lot others already asked employees for the same and other employers either motivated or will likely be motivated to do so, will work from home become a thing of the past? https://finance.yahoo.com/news/walls-closing-corporate-employees-ceos-152939977.html

The walls are closing in on corporate employees as CEOs at Disney and Starbucks demand that workers start returning to the office

Yep this same dumb question gets asked all the time and this is always the only true response. Remote existed before covid, remote will continue to exist going forward (and now with increased numbers from covid times)

It'll always be a hybrid model. I'm not going to 100% office.

False, they're making use of the office space that nobody is using by prioritizing those who will actually use it.

Microsoft μSopht Jan 16, 2023

False. I use my office and got kicked out.

One company laid off 10% of staff and everyone copied that. Soon, one of the major companies will say come back and everyone will do that. Anyone thinking otherwise is a fool. There are hungry kids coming out every year willing to do your job for cheaper.
