Work in LA or SF Bay

Hi, I'm a senior engineer working in LA, wondering if it's worthwhile to move to Bay area, career wise. Thoughts?

Get some offers and see if it’s worth the quality of life difference. From my perspective, if I could find a truly great opportunity with similar TC in LA, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

Move to bay area. It has lot of opportunities for software engineers in terms of quality work and meeting smart & hardworking ppl Just make sure you get paid really well to negate the very expensive house rents

If you’re married or you like men, definitely go for it. Otherwise bring a wife with you, Bay Area is getting worse and worse for dating.

I had to face this decision a few years ago. I had 2 LA offers and 2 Bay Area offers. All unicorns. While LA definitely seemed like the better place to live, the LA offers were significantly less. Around 35% less TC. So yea, it's up to you. What's more important? More diverse social life, better weather, and more living space || more money?
