East/north/south anywhere from 50-3000 miles
Burlingame if you can up your budget else north San Mateo.
Burlingame/ Hillsborough - Great school, walkable downtown, good weather, close to airport, central to everything, hiking trails, public transportation for Bart and CalTrain, nice brunch spots, quick access to many highways / bridges, etc - grew up there btw. :-)
Lovely area indeed though difficult to buy a house in this budget. Even the area between 101 and el Camino real is heating up quickly
Foster city
And deal with the bullshit traffic on 101/92?
It is a solid area within this budget with good schools and nice green communities. Main concern around the traffic and foundation. Similar thinking for Redwood Shore.
Atherton!
Absolutely if I win the next powerball!
Brisbane, it’s nice here.
Go for Belmont- good schools, 1.6 mil should get you nice 3 bee 2 bath.
Surprise to see so many voted for redwood city than the other options.. care to comment why?
Because it has baby bullet caltrain?
Side question: how do people living in the peninsula generally commute to SF if not by BART?
Caltrain; bullet in the morning can get you into the city in 30 mins from San Mateo
