Workday P4 SWE offer

I am expecting SWE P4 offer from Workday. What is a good offer for a tier 2/3 city? The recuriter is quoting a base of around 180k with 200k equity and 10% bonus and no joining bonus. I feel like they are low-balling me. I am thinking a 300k TC in current market makes more sense. #swe #workday Current TC - πŸ₯œ

Lots of our candidates reject our offers for this reason

Any input oh how high can they go?

I'm not sure, I would go off levels.fyi for a city similar to yours and ask for the max. But we haven't increased pay ranges recently afaik

Base: 200-220 Bonus: 10% RSUs: 250-350

Okay I am not crazy then 😝. Also is it possible to negotiate a role to be remote?

Workday W.Buffett May 12, 2022

Oh you mentioned tier2/3 - yeah these numbers are for bay area

I think this offer for tier 2/3 cities is not bad. BTW, which cities are you targeting?

IBM snSE71 OP May 13, 2022

But do you think Workday can do 300? Denver and Austin

Workday Hihihahaha May 14, 2022

I think it's hard to do 300 in current market. Would have been okay about a month or two back. Having said that I think you should weight in other factors too. Workday has one of the better wlb out there. You are getting this offer in Austin which will put you in a better spot. Unlimited vacations usually means 4-6 weeks per year (in most teams). So long as you're not stuck in XO land, you should be good.

To me that's a fair offer honestly

Seems like a fair offer for tier 2/3 city.
